It is not recommended to trek during heavy monsoon (July) due to landslide risk, slippery trails, and leeches. Pre-monsoon (June) and post-monsoon (August–September) are safer.
How can I prevent altitude sickness during the trek?
Ascend gradually and follow “climb high, sleep low”. Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol. Inform your trek leader immediately if symptoms appear. Carry AMS tablets as prescribed by your doctor.
